International Centre for Numerical Methods in Engineering (CIMNE) was founded in 1987 at the North Campus of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya under the auspices of UNESCO.

CIMNE is an autonomous research and development centre that has currently more than 200 researchers from over 50 countries worldwide and organizes annual courses, congresses, conferences and seminars that keeps us present in many cities around the world.

The central offices of CIMNE occupy 800m2 in Barcelona. CIMNE currently features with 3 branches (Spain, Latin America and USA) and 30 classrooms worldwide.
