Installation

PARACHUTES is available as a calculation module inside the CIMNE's pre and post-processor GiD. The latter can be downloaded from its website and free and paid licenses are available; more details here.

Once GiD is installed on your computer, the PARACHUTES configuration folder parachutes.gid (download link below) must be unzipped and copied to the folder problemtypes in the GiD's installation directory. This configures GiD for using PARACHUTES. The installation procedure is very simple and is described in detail in the PARACHUTES User’s Manual.

License

PARACHUTES requires a license password. Different types of licenses are available for research and commercial purposes. Special packages (PARACHUTES+GiD) may also be offered to meet specific user needs.
